• Visit Ste Foy la Grande market on Saturday morning and finish off with a nice beer in the square.
   

• Visit Bergerac. The large market is also on Saturday morning.
   

• Eat at La Vielle Auberge in Bergerac. In the road to the left behind the market square.
   

• Try some cycling. There are two bikes at the house, but you can hire better ones in Ste Foy.
   

• Visit St Emilion and do some serious wine tasting.
   

• Visit the old city of Bordeaux and the Medoc wine region.
   

• Do some local wine tasting.  There are lots of small vineyards which are hospitable. Look on www.dordognebreak.com for suggestions. Le Raz and Chateau Laulerie are scrummy!
   

• Sample the local cheeses and duck products. Good supermarkets in Ste Foy la Grande (Intermarche or Leclerc) or Montpon (Intermarche). Also good selection at markets. There  is a small market in the village on Wednesday morning!
   

• Do some kayaking on the River Dordogne locally or go up towards Sarlat.
   

• Enjoy relaxing at the house!
